The City made the difficult decision to shut down access to City facilities effective yesterday. It is the priority of the City to ensure that essential services continue to be provided with no disruption. The City asks for patience as we work though this emergency situation. The focus of the City is to ensure appropriate levels of police and fire staffing. Further, the City has established and is carrying out plans to maintain water and wastewater treatment. This is a constantly developing situation.
As we move forward, the City will not be disconnecting water service for non-payment. However, residents will still be responsible for the charges associated with water usage. While the utilities office is closed to in person bill payment and questions, citizens are encouraged to utilize the payment drop-box or online payment and phone the utilities office with any questions or concerns. The number for the utilities’ office is 937-548-1815.
Likewise, tax forms can be submitted through the same payment box on the North side of the building as well as online. Questions regarding tax issues should be directed to the Tax Department at 937-548-5747. The current filing deadline for taxes is April 15, 2020. While no official decision has been made, the City is looking at delaying this deadline if need be.
Phone numbers for other departments can be found online and in the phone book.
Please, if there is an emergency call 911. Again, thank you for your patience during this difficult time. We will all make it through this if we work together.
